Ben started clay pigeon shooting when he was was eight years old and has been representing his school – Princethorpe College for the past three years.

He was crowned British Schools National Clay Pigeon Champion in 2016 in the U14 category when he was eleven, and was the runner up after a shoot-off in the same event in 2017.

In 2017, Ben was invited to join the GB Shooting Talent Pathway, where he trains with GB professionals. Within the pathway, he is focusing on Olympic Trap is hoping to follow this to National and International level. In 2018, he started shooting the Helice discipline was selected to represent Great Britain in the European Championships in Bologna, Italy in June where he won the Italian Grand Prix Junior Championship gold, and European Junior Team Silver medals.

His ultimate long-term goal is to be part of the GB shooting team at the Olympics in 2028.
